Humid circumstances were forecast to persist along significant areas of Queensland's east this next several days as a low-pressure trough continued to attract humidity against the coastal areas.

The following day was expected to become the wettest day, with continued storm activity predicted across various areas of both areas.

Health Warning

Public health experts cautioned that there was an increased chance of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the countryside regions, especially given the existing atmospheric conditions.

This warning comes after previous incidents where analogous circumstances led to major medical consequences in the state.
